After a wonderful Christmas break, we are ready to dive back into grammar and writing (and some fun math drills of course!).
We are continuing to follow the writing schedule given at the start of the year. This should have been included in your Student Resource Notebook. I'm attaching a photo of the second half for your quick reference here.
Our Independant Research report this spring will be a Faces of History report. This means that your student will choose one person or event from history to research and write about, and will also dress the part for our end of year reading. Please lead your student in brainstorming who their person or event will be.
Mrs. Brown has organized a field trip tour for our Essentials classes at the Battle Ground library on February 8, 9-10:30AM. The librarian will give a tour, including computer usage, and teach us how to research our historical timeframe effectively. Target age is grades 3-12, but younger children may come with along with a parent. Please contact Mrs. Brown for questions.
