Faces of History Report
This is our largest report for the year, so just in case you're unsure about the assignment given in class, here's a summary.
A 2-3 page report (double spaced) on a historical person from ancient times or Africa. 5 paragraph minimum, which would be 3 topics plus introduction and conclusion paragraphs. Use a recent Checklist from the History Writing book to prompt an appropriate number of dress-ups.
The report does not need to be written in the first person, although this is fun for the student when they read it, in costume, to the rest of the class on April 21. However, after the report is complete, the student and parent should work together to write a 1-2 sentence summary of the person's life *in first person* for recitation on May 5. This will be part of our Presentation Night, and must be memorized, so keep it concise! We will practice going on stage and saying these sentences on April 21 in anticipation of Presentation Night.
